Hi all! Long time no post! I think it's about time for a new prompt, and this week's prompt presented itself in the sad form of the passing of a fellow artist and innovator, the incredible Steve Jobs. So for the prompt, let's do something for Steve.

Interpret however you choose, as always. It can be in regards to the lighting of the picture, or embodiment of light and dark, or day and night, ying and yang, or however it strikes you.  You could also just do one or the other, even, if you wanted to play around with light or something. Up to you!

Redesigned Book Cover!

Okay, so I couldn't decide which book to redo, so I just chose the one closest to me. Which, unfortunately for the author and fans, was A Dance with Dragons by George R.R. Martin. This is an completely accurate representation of what the book is like, too.

DRAW SOMETHING FROM A CULT FILM

It doesn't even really have to be a defined cult film, just one you see as one, or one of your favorites that gets little love. But just think of Rocky Horror Picture Show, anything by David Lynch, Fight Club, Rushmore, The Big Lebowski, Donnie Darko, John Hughes' stuff, Tim Burton's stuff, The Goonies, Romero's zombie films....that should be enough to get something started.

Hey guys! So for this week...

DRAW SOMETHING IN A DIFFERENT STYLE.

I think this could work one of two ways: reinterpret something in a different style - i.e. draw anime in the style of Disney characters, draw your favorite comic book characters in your own style, etc. OR just try out a different style yourself. Like if you normally draw cartoony, try realistic, or vice versa. There are lots of other options out there, so just look around and see how you can push yourself!

crazy dream...

I've been very busy those weeks and missed a couple prompts... Man, I hate moving...

What a coincidence!, I've had the weirdest dream in a long time just today ...
I don't remember most of it, but at sometime, a shark with this "chamine bulb" went through the streets casting water waves and drawning everyone... really crazy...
So I did this 5 min sketch of the shark...

(Another crazy dream I had a couple years ago had penguins racing downhill on baby strollers...)

Created for a friend's superhero group...basically my final film character. Terribly creative, yes.

Not much of a horror going on in here but i thought scary looking warewolf with red glowing eyes should do the trick.

Instead of obsessively trying to keep the lines clean, I went the opposite direction and just let my lines go crazy. It worked well for the mood of this picture >:D
