DRAW SOMETHING MUSICAL

When I left Calgary my boys got together and created a CD for my roadtrip to Vancouver. On the top of the list was Modern Swinger by the Pink Spiders and right next to the title was a sticky note saying "look inside the CD case"... inside was a goodbye note from all of them... it's been my favorite song ever since.

Different Time Period

The Roaring Twenties.
Bah. One day, I promise I will spend the proper amount of time to research, line and color something.

And I'd be lying if I didn't admit that my love of this era stems mostly from Tracy J. Butler's Lackadaisy comics.

Prompt #5

Okay, guys, for this week:

DRAW SOMETHING MUSICAL.

I'm leaving this one wide open, since there's been ideas like drawing something based on your favorite song, or listening to random songs and drawing whatever comes to mind. Or draw something about what music means to you, or someone actually playing music.

Shouldn't be too hard for everyone to come up with something for this one, since music is in our blood, right?

Post for next Friday, APRIL 1.

Different Era

Different Era: 1950s

Imaginary creatures - Prompt 3

So this is me trying to ink... Trollocs for that matter! Since we bound to wait a lil' longer for "a dance with dragons", I been gnawing at Robert Jordan's Wheel of time so here are his equivalents for Orcs! Some fouled and twisted animal-men raiding human settlements on dark nights!
Can't wait to get on the next prompt though!

Prompt 2 - Something Nostalgic

Hmmmm.... Well, once upon a time, I had a cat. And he was my best buddy during a harsh period of my life. His name was Elfinn (Let the geeks figure out! ;)) and we used to have long talks... Both stone and/or drunk... Haaaa, I miss him sometimes, cause u know he could understand so much!

I owe the colouring to Marisa for this one!

And sorry for being late!!!

Does folklore count as imaginary? This here's a Wendigo. It eats humans... not gonna lie. Inspired by Supernatural.

Something Nostalgic

So late, so sorry. This is me as an oblivious youngster who loved going to the beach with family and friends and really really wanted to be a mermaid.

Imaginary creature - birdman.

I needed a mindless organic gore release.

Bob likes opera and crackers. If you feed him well, he won't stick his claws in your jaw and tear out your esophagus.

Enjoy!

Imaginary Creature.

Bun-thulu looks at you, disapprovingly.  -Justin.

Something Nostalgic...

This was only a few years ago, but dogsitting for my aunt and uncle is one of my very favorite memories. Sitting on the porch of a little house surrounded by meadow and forest in the summer sunset, reading a book and drinking a glass of wine with the dogs lying nearby...I wish I could do that forever.

Something Nostalgic

My not so little brother and I..we used to play a lot of videogames, guitar hero one of them :P

Prompt #3

As always, great job everyone!

Just a quick note: Since the main point of this is inspiration and drawing practice, if you see an old prompt you want to draw something for, by all means, please do so! And be sure to post it for everyone to see :) The Friday thing isn't so much of a deadline per se - just when we come out with a new prompt.

And on that note, for this week:

DRAW AN IMAGINARY CREATURE.

Okay. You know what to do. If you can, post it up by next Friday, MARCH 18.

Something Nostalgic

"Ghungroo". It's a musical anklet which classical dancers tie to their feet. I did too when I was learning classical dance. Last I wore them were about 15 years ago. Ahh...I miss it!!

Ruchi

Something Nostalgic.

I bet people were expecting me to draw sonic. I HAVE BETRAYED YOU. I got into Evangelion when I was 12 or so. Rei was my favourite. Whenever I see this show around, I always get reminded of those days. The last year in elementary school... Hah. And all the fun I had with my blonde long-haired friend who loved Asuka. We used to dub the episodes with our own voices, but we sounded retarded on purpose and made noises. YEEEE. Anyway, Rei doesn't go crazy with her arm cut off spraying blood everywhere in the Anime or Manga. (To my knowledge.) I just drew it like that because... I dunno. Lulz?

Something Nostalgic

Ever since I was little, my go-to sick day movie has been Disney's Robin Hood. To this day, every time I watch it I feel like curling up on my couch with a big comforter and a mug full of hot chicken broth.

Something nostalgic.

Although I have been living out of my country for quite some time, I miss the fields. Sososo much.

This is part of Play_Dream, a short story I wrote/drew about a USSR soldier's escape just after WWII, in 1946.

Miau!

Something Nostalgic

My kitty-cat, Dusty. Nostalgic because he was 15 years old when he passed three years ago. I miss him.
Something Nostalgic
There was a large field outside my house where the grass came up to our waists, my best friend and I spent a good chunk of our child hood just lying down watching the butterflies and 9 time out of 10 we'd fall asleep. Until my parents let the dogs out and they either woke us up or fell asleep with us.

Because the Lion King defines my childhood and I always love drawing the characters. Especially Scar.

It can be a memory, person, place, or thing - just something you remember fondly.
